She created a safe space for her team where they felt comfortable coming to her own leadership and saying, “This is what I need.” And they support it. The more you can develop good leaders at the top, the more you have no choice but to spread that to other parts of your organization.

What kind of support does Moms In Music offer?

We focus on the personal and professional. All of our supports and programs are built around four core pillars: Physical Health, Financial Health, Professional Development, and Mental/Spiritual Health. For example, a few days ago we hosted a financial wellness expert from an organization called Moms with Benefits. And experts gave full presentations on topics such as how long you can apply for an extension of maternity leave, what you can do about taxes and other issues that most people didn't know about. We also recently announced a panel centered around a series we're launching called “More Than a Mom,” about how to reclaim your identity as a mother.

As a member, you'll have access to a members-only portal, your own mini-Facebook with information you want to share with other members, and the ability to network with other members. In addition to events, we also have a forum that lists summaries, videos, various resources, and feedback from members. How has founding Moms In Music shaped your own journey as a business owner and mother?

To be honest, I didn't want children. I was career-focused and trying to climb the corporate ladder. Literally that was all I could think about. Then everything changed. Now I am so glad that God knew more than I did what I needed. Because it changed my whole outlook on life. It gave me purpose in a way I didn't know I needed. It also helped me tap into my strengths, my superpowers. Since becoming a mother, I've become a much better manager because I understand how to delegate.Understands how to prioritize within limited time [school] drop down. I'm laser focused, so I get a lot done. And becoming a mother made me realize how much time I had wasted. We’re just kind of chasing our tails, aren’t we? It helped me understand purpose in a way I didn't before. Motherhood is definitely the hardest job I've ever had. From the moment I open my eyes at 5:15 a.m., I don't stop moving until 9:30 p.m. But it's also the most wonderful and fulfilling job.

Drake asks Toronto news helicopter to stop flying over mansion after third intruder arrested

Drake asked local news helicopters in Toronto to stop flying over his home, and a third intruder was arrested.

A man who tried to break into a rapper's Toronto mansion has been arrested a day after a shooting outside the mansion earlier this week.

The intruder was reportedly taken into custody on Wednesday (May 8) after allegedly trying to break into Drake's home.

On Thursday, a second intruder was taken to hospital after a confrontation with a security guard, suffering “serious but non-life-threatening” injuries (via CP24).

Now, a third trespasser has attempted to enter the Bridle Path property, and security has managed to detain the man and escort him from the scene (via TMZ).

On Saturday morning, an emotional Drake posted on his Instagram Story, asking a news helicopter overhead to leave him in peace. “@cp24breakingnews can you please discuss the times when helicopters fly over my house? It's not a lie I'm trying to sleep,” he wrote. “Anytime after 3pm is fine.”

It's been a tumultuous week for Drake and his Toronto home, with police and paramedics on scene Monday after a man was hospitalized with “serious injuries” after being shot multiple times outside his home.

It has since been widely reported that the injured person was Drake's bodyguard, who was shot in the chest.

The two have had beef over the past few years, but their relationship has reached a crescendo in the past three weeks. Each has shared a series of songs, with increasingly personal verbal attacks on each other's musical abilities and personal dramas. Last weekend alone, the duo released five songs in just three days.

There is no evidence that there is any correlation between the ongoing music battles, shootings, or attempted break-ins.

Universal Music Group recently denied reports that it had demanded that Kendrick Lamar and Drake end their highly publicized feud.

“Kendrick and Drake's relationship is between them and completely separate from the business side,” TMZ reported. [via HotNewHipHop]. “And UMG doesn't think it's their place to intervene anyway.”
