BTS members Jimin and Jungkook have been taking charts around the world by storm with their latest and past releases, showcasing their immense influence and popularity.
Billboard released its latest chart rankings on July 9th. Jimin's pre-release track “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)” from his second solo album “MUSE” debuted at No. 88 on the “Hot 100” chart. Amazingly, this achievement was achieved solely through digital sales and music video views, highlighting Jimin's extraordinary fanbase. The song also topped the “World Digital Song Sales” chart, ranking No. 3 in “Digital Song Sales” and No. 7 in “Global (Excluding the U.S.),” as well as No. 16 on the “Global 200.”
In addition, the title track “Like Crazy” from Jimin's first solo album “FACE,” released in April last year, has made a remarkable rise in the rankings, reaching 60th place on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart and 108th place on the Global 200 chart.
Jungkook continues to shine on the Billboard charts. His solo single “Seven (feat. Latto),” released in July last year, remains at 64th place on the Global 200, and the title track “Standing Next to You” from his solo album “GOLDEN,” released in November 2023, is at 190th place. On the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart, “Seven” is at 41st place, “Standing Next to You” is at 103rd place, and the digital single “Never Let Go,” released in June this year, is at 127th place.
Excitement is building as Jimin prepares to release the full album, “MUSE,” as well as the music video for title track “Who,” on July 19. Featuring seven tracks, the new album explores themes of love and the search for inspiration.
To celebrate Jimin's album release, a special pop-up event, “MUSE Smeraldo Garden,” will be held at Plant Park PH in Gangnam, Seoul from July 22 to 28. The event promises a unique experience for fans, including interactive booths, photo zones, and a message garden.
Fans can also look forward to Jimin and Jungkook's travel blog, “Are You Sure?!”, which premieres on Disney+ on August 8. The series captures the duo's adventures in Korea, the US, and Japan and consists of eight episodes, with new episodes releasing every Thursday. Jungkook teased the series during his appearance on Suga's “Suchwita,” sparking great anticipation among fans.
Jimin and Jungkook, known as the “Busan Duo,” are good friends and enlisted on the same day and are currently serving in the same unit. They are scheduled to be discharged on June 11, 2025.
