Basilos' latest studio album, Pequeños Romance, topped this week's New Music Latin poll.

A poll released Friday (May 17) supports a weekly new music Latin roundup and playlist hand-picked by the editors of Billboard Latin magazine and Billboard Spanish. , music fans voted the duo's latest work as their favorite music release of the past week.

“Pequeños Romances,” which translates to “Little Romances,” received over 47% of the vote, beating out other new albums that were eliminated that week, such as Luis Fonsi's “El Viaje,” LAGOS' “Alta Fidelidad,” Alejo's “En esta nos huimos lejos” and “Dalmas,” as well as his self-titled debut set, to name a few.

A close second in popularity was Fonsi's travel-inspired album, which received over 46% of the votes.

Pequeños Romances is an 11-track musical journey that includes the album's first single, “Anoche.” The album's first single, “Anoche,” has a distinct tropic-pop sound that set the tone for what fans expected from the album prior to its release. Its standout single, “Enredadera,” is a bohemian song backed by El Cajon and mesmerizing violin chords that tells a story of eternal love. This song in particular captures the band's essence through samples of two of their biggest hits: “Tabaco y Channel” and “Mi Primer Millón.”

During an IG Live with Billboard last week, longtime members Jorge Villamizar and Andre Lopez explained how the album channels Miami's unique sound. Miami is a place that has influenced and accompanied them throughout their careers. Villamizar further emphasized that this album focused on where his voice was going and served as an important starting point for the album's creation.
