Travis Barker is selling boarding passes for a recent trip to Australia.
The Blink-182 drummer is selling the piece of paper on auction site Trophy for $8,000 (£6,220), with a portion of the proceeds going to the Lost But Not Forgotten charity, which supports at-risk teenagers.
The boarding pass is a meaningful memento of Travis overcoming his fear of flying: in 2008, he survived a fatal plane crash that killed four passengers, and then didn't fly for 13 years.
The crash killed the two pilots and Travis's best friends Charles “Che” Still and Chris Baker, while passenger DJ AM survived but died of a drug overdose a year later.
As a result of the accident, Travis suffered third-degree burns over 65 percent of his body. He was hospitalized for three months and underwent 26 surgeries.
The 48-year-old drew an X at the bottom of his Qantas boarding pass and wrote: “I know angels are watching over me” as he was sitting in row seven, regarded by many as the “angel number”.
The website description reads, “A truly one-of-a-kind item for the ultimate Travis Barker collector. After being grounded for over 13 years following a nearly fatal plane crash, he was recently able to resume international touring. This extremely rare commercial boarding pass is more than just a piece of musical memorabilia; it's a genuine piece from Travis himself, featuring an original handwritten note and drawing of a cross.”
Travis previously credited the “power of love” from wife Kourtney Kardashian for helping him overcome his fear of flying.
“Kote helped me and my kids get back on planes. She helped us heal,” he told the Los Angeles Times. “Every time I fly, it takes a little bit of my life away. The stress and anxiety it brings is unbearable. It brings back old traumas and sometimes I wonder, 'Is this even worth it?' But I don't want to be held back. I don't want to be afraid or let my past dictate my future.”
