Katy Perry: [her] She expresses her “sexuality” in her new music.
The 39-year-old pop star, who has a three-year-old daughter, Daisy, with fiancé Orlando Bloom, faced criticism for her comeback single “Woman's World” and its raunchy music video but said she is happy to be “celebrating” herself and her femininity and isn't worried about the backlash.
“I accept my sexuality. I own it and I feel really responsible. I'm not ashamed of it,” she told French TV, according to the Daily Star.
“I got my t*** out and I'm happy about it. My t*** gave me life, I brought a child into the world and she's alive because of my t****** so bless them!”
Since having daughter Daisy with her husband, actor Orlando Bloom (47), Katy feels she has grown as an artist.
She added: “My life has changed a lot. I have a daughter who's almost four. Becoming a mother makes me feel more feminine.”
The “Teenage Dream” hitmaker promises that her new album, “143,” due for release on September 20, will delight fans as it retains much of the sound that made her successful in the 2010s.
She said: “It's very energetic, upbeat, sexy dance-pop. It's divided into three parts.”
“One is like 'Dark Horse,' another is a blend of 'Walking on Air,' 'Never Really Over,' and 'Teenage Dream.' And the other part is just like 'Hot N Cold' and 'California Gurls,' which is just me.”
'143' is Katy's first album since 2020's 'Smile', which reached No. 5 on the UK album chart.
