Academy of Country Music/Prime Video
In roughly 10 months, get ready to straighten your Stetson and rags: The dates for the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards have been set.
The 60th anniversary celebration will be held for the third consecutive year on Thursday, May 8th at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas, the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys.
Reba McEntire, star of NBC's new comedy “Happy's Place,” which premieres on October 18, will return as the show's host for a record-breaking 18th time.
“I'm so excited to be returning to host the 60th annual ACM Awards on Prime Video,” said McEntire. “It's going to be a can't-miss show, and I can't wait to see you all again in Texas.”
The 2022 ACMs are the first major awards ceremony to be exclusively livestreamed to a global audience, with Prime Video once again acquiring exclusive television rights.

Country music is definitely having a pop moment, and next year's ACMs should be an interesting mix as they cover music released in 2024. Beyoncé's album “Cowboy Carter,” which hit No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 in April, will be included, as will America's current No. 1 single, Shaboozie's “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” It replaces “I Had Some Help,” featuring Post Malone and Morgan Wallen, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for six weeks. The song is the longest-running No. 1 of the year and also topped the country charts.
Rainie Wilson was a big winner at the 2024 ACM Awards in May. After opening the ceremony with a cover of Little Texas' 1993 hit “God Blessed Texas” and her own “Hang Tight Honey,” she took home three awards, including Entertainer of the Year. Wilson won the most trophies at the 2023 ACMs and was also the most nominated artist.
