King Charles reached out to Donald Trump following the shooting that occurred during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
According to information obtained by Fox News Digital, the king penned a private letter to the former president on Sunday.
The letter was delivered by the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. Buckingham Palace declined to comment on its contents.

President Trump and Prince Charles know each other, having met many times over the past few years.
The two first met in 2005 when Prince Charles and Camilla Parker visited the US, and reunited at the funeral of President George H.W. Bush in 2018.
The two met in 2019 to discuss climate change, but what was scheduled to be a 15-minute conversation lasted an hour and a half, Trump said at the time, adding that Charles, a longtime environmental activist, “did most of the talking.”
After the visit, Clarence House said there was a “good working relationship” between Trump and Prince Charles.

Prince Charles' letter came after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called Trump on Sunday to condemn the violence, offer his condolences to the victims and their families, and wish the former president and those injured a speedy recovery.
Trump reportedly spent much of Sunday on the phone with friends and government officials, and longtime ally Darrell Scott, a pastor in Ohio, said Trump was “in high spirits” when he spoke with them Sunday morning, just hours after the shooting.
“He was great as always, nothing too big,” Scott said. “In fact, he was trying to lighten things up a bit, asking how I was doing.”

Photos show the former president's face covered in blood, but he was not seriously injured, although experts told Fox News Digital that he could have been killed by the bullets if he had not turned his head at the right time.
The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, died at the scene, while spectator Corey Comperatore was also killed and two other people at the rally were injured but are currently in stable condition.
Meanwhile, King Charles has been focusing on getting his life back on track since being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

Prince Charles has taken a break from royal duties to recuperate, but appears to have made a full recovery. Last month, he gave his first public speech since returning home to mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings.

In a video shared on the royal family's official website, he told the crowd of veterans and politicians: “The stories of courage, resilience and unity that we have heard today and throughout our lives cannot help but move us, inspire us and remind us what we owe to that great wartime generation, whose numbers are now tragically dwindling to so few.”
He later attended the Trooping the Colour ceremony with several other members of the royal family, including Kate Middleton, who is also battling cancer.
Today he and Camilla are in the Channel Islands to attend a special sitting of the state parliament.
