Get ready, Drake fans: DJ Akademiks has revealed that a new song from the Canadian superstar is on the way.
The news comes after a major dust-up between Drake and Kendrick Lamar that has dominated the hip-hop world for months.
On Monday (July 8), Akamix took to social media to support Drake and speak out against those who doubt the rapper's staying power.
“All the f—ers acting like Drake is over… Bookmark this tweet for 6 months,” he declared. “We don't want the f—ers anywhere near us… Remember that.”
He added, “And yeah…enjoy all the other noise and bullshit…enough with the new Drake song…trust me.”

Akademics, one of Drake's staunchest supporters, has continued to staunchly defend the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker throughout his ongoing feud with K. Dot.
During an appearance on the Flagrant podcast in May, Akademiks claimed that Drake won the feud, highlighting the difference in expectations placed on the two artists.
“The rules aren't the same for either artist…Drake has never shyed away from a fight. He's always been there,” he explained.
Anticipation for new Drake music has been building, especially after his longtime producer Gord hinted at a summer release. In an Instagram post featuring a photo of him and Drake, Gord teased, “Y'all ready for the summer of 2024…”
Drake's most recent chart-topping hit is the track “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 17, 2023.
“First Person Shooter” is from Drake's latest album, For All the Dogs, which has already spawned several top 10 hits.
