Ariana Grande is set to embark on a “mini” tour.
The 31-year-old singer is determined to make several concert appearances to promote his latest album, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” and is trying to squeeze concerts in between work on the upcoming “Wicked” series.
Speaking on the “Shut Up Evan” podcast, Ariana said, “I'm still open to that. I think it would be a really cool idea if we could do a few shows in between the two Wicked movies, a little sample of shows. Me and my team are working on figuring out what those options are.”
The “We Can't Be Friends” singer also revealed that a deluxe version of the album will be released, but fans will have to wait a while to hear it.
Ariana said, “I want to keep it in its current form for a little longer, take my time to realize my vision for this deluxe edition, and make it worth the wait and as special as I think it will be.”
She continued, “I thought, and still feel, that this album is perfect as is.
“As time went on, I felt like writing more songs and wanted to make this deluxe version. I really wanted to push the creative button on this storytelling and I have a lot of ideas. This was a compelling idea.”
Grande said the delay in the deluxe edition was due to her role as Glinda in the highly anticipated film Wicked.
As for the release date, she said: “It will be a surprise, but I can't say anytime soon.”
“And when it's time to shift gears, I want to put my heart and soul into it, so I'm trying to time that Wicked just right. I'm working on it all the time. You'll have more to say about timing soon.”
