Kesha has no time for body-shamers.
The TikTok singer posted a series of bikini clad photos on Instagram on Sunday, silencing those who tried to criticise her appearance.
“I never thought it'd be 2024 and people would still be criticizing my body but I'm so proud of my body,” Kesha captioned the post. “She's been through so much. She tore her ACL onstage and finished the show. She supported me through my broken heart. To all of you who think you're shaming me, you're actually making me feel so powerful.”
Kesha addressed her body-shamers directly, concluding, “So I hope one day you guys are full enough in your hearts to not hurt other women. Until then, hate me more, bitch (muscle emoji).”
The 37-year-old was forced to postpone several shows in early 2018 after she fell and ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her knee during a performance in Dubai, and had to reschedule shows to allow her to recover from surgery.
Kesha's defiant post came just days after she released her first single as an independent artist, “Joyride,” on America's Independence Day, July 4th.
She parted ways with Dr. Luke's Kemosabe Records in December 2023, months after settling a nine-year legal battle with the record producer in June 2023.
“First song I've released as a free woman on my record label…thank you so much for all the support I've cried for. I'm at a loss for words,” she wrote to X last week.
