Paloma Faith says she feels “honoured and thrilled” to be performing at Glastonbury.
The 'Stone Cold Sober' singer is “excited” about festival season and thinks that Emily Eavis booking her to perform at Worthy Farm's Pyramid Stage later this month is proof that her work is “respected”.
She told Record Collector magazine: “I'm excited. Festival season is amazing.”
“We last played Glastonbury eight years ago. Next up is the Pyramid Stage.”
“I'm honoured, thrilled and a little overwhelmed.
“It means a lot to me because it means I'm respected as a performer.
“I love performing, that's my main motivation for making music.”
Paloma is currently on tour promoting her latest album, Glorification of Sadness, and although she says juggling caring for her two children with performing shows is “exhausting,” she is enjoying being back on stage.
When asked how the tour is going, she replied: “It's great. The first half is the new album, and then the greatest hits.”
“It’s a profound, emotional journey and a feeling of celebration.
“Now that I’m a single mom, being on tour is the most exhausting I’ve ever been.
“When I come home from a gig, I don't have a partner to make the kids breakfast and get them off to school. I do it all myself. I don't sleep in anymore.”
“It's hard driving through the night, it's the worst, but on weekends and holidays, my kids come on tours with me.”
