In a news-packed month of May, Fox News Digital beat top news brands like CNN and The New York Times in key metrics, according to ComScore.

Fox News Digital reached nearly 1.7 billion total multiplatform views, beating The New York Times' 1.6 billion and CNN's 1.2 billion.

In terms of total multiplatform viewing time, Fox News Digital dominated its rivals with 3.2 billion minutes watched. CNN lagged behind with just under 2 billion minutes watched across multiple platforms, followed by the Times with 1.7 billion minutes watched.

Additionally, Fox News maintained its position as the most engaged news brand on social media, reaching number one for the 117th consecutive month with more than 26.4 million total interactions, according to Emplifi.

Last month, Fox News had 7.8 million Facebook interactions, 1.9 million X interactions, and a staggering 16.8 million Instagram interactions. Fox News also garnered more than 175 million views on YouTube, according to Shareablee.

The month was dominated by the New York trial of former President Trump, which resulted in a historic conviction.

May also saw the continued war between Israel and Hamas, anti-Semitic protests erupting on college campuses across the country, a heated debate between Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) during a congressional hearing, the controversy over the upside-down American flag being flown in front of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito's home after January 6th, controversy over Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker's controversial commencement speech, and basketball superstar Kaitlyn Clark's dramatic WNBA debut.

Last month also saw significant developments in the 2024 presidential election. President Trump and President Biden both agreed to participate in at least two presidential debates, and former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley also announced she would vote for Trump, in a sign of party unity ahead of the November election.
