Ariana Grande teases deluxe version of 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' – Music News

Ariana Grande has announced that she will soon be releasing a deluxe version of her new album, 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.'

The 7 Rings hitmaker revealed on Monday's Podcrushed podcast that he's been in the studio writing new songs since releasing his seventh studio album in March, and that he's considering releasing the new songs as a deluxe edition.

“I've been doing a bit of writing lately and hanging out in the studio,” she said, with host Penn Badgley urging her to “release some music.”

“I think I would,” she replied. “It's funny, I thought of it as just a very concise collection of work, and in my head I always thought of it as 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,' that album. But as time went on, I started to think, 'Oh, maybe I can bring in some new ideas.' So I went in to the studio the day after the Met Gala and stayed there for like 10 days, literally lived there.”

Ariana, who performed at the Met Gala in May, released “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” on March 8 and then released a surprise digital deluxe edition called “Slightly Deluxe” two days later. The deluxe edition includes four tracks: a remix of “Supernatural” with Troye Sivan, a remix of “Yes, And?” with Mariah Carey, an acoustic version of “Imperfect for You,” and an a cappella version of “True Story.”

During a podcast interview, the pop star hinted that the upcoming deluxe edition will feature all-new material.

“I've written a lot of songs, maybe more, and I'd like to do a deluxe version one day,” she continued. “I had the idea of doing two mini albums or one big one, but I'm still undecided. I think I'll just do one and write some more smaller stuff and be done with that.”

Ariana recently featured Penn in the music video for “The Boy Is Mine,” the third single from her album.
