Listen to Beabadoobee's new “cute love song,” 'Coming Home'

Beabadoobee is back with their latest single “Coming Home” off of their upcoming third studio album. Listen to “Coming Home” below.

This Is How Tomorrow Moves is due for release on August 16th via Dirty Hit (you can pre-order/pre-save it here ), and now the musicians have shared “Coming Home” as the record's second preview track.

The song was born out of Beabadoobee's love for The Beatles, and was written as a “cute little love song” after missing her loved ones while on tour in the US. Listen here:

“I wrote this song in a hotel room in LA, away from my boyfriend, my loved ones and my two cats,” she said. “It starts with me missing the little things in life, like doing the dishes, because I'm always away. It's really just a cute love song with a weird nonexistent structure.”

She's also announced a North American tour in September, kicking off in Philadelphia on September 8th and wrapping up in Los Angeles on September 28th. See the full list of dates below, and tickets go on sale here from 10am on June 6th.

Last month, the artist released the album's lead single, “Take A Bite.” “It's a feeling of introspection about my thoughts and unhealthy ways of living,” she said of the song. “It's about finding comfort in familiar places, finding comfort in chaos because that's what I know, so I bring that into all aspects of my life, especially my relationships.”

She continued, “It touches this part of my brain that immediately jumps into the most negative, chaotic thoughts known to mankind and makes them a reality.”

Beabadoobee said of the new album, “This album has helped me more than anything else to navigate this new time and to have a new understanding of where I am. I think it's about becoming a woman.”

“I think on these songs I’m more conscious of my own actions,” the singer added, before going on to say, “On my previous records I was consistently singing about my reactions to other people’s actions, like a blame game.

“But on this record, I acknowledge that there's inevitably some fault involved. Whether it's childhood trauma or relationship issues, it takes two to tango.”

“This Is How Tomorrow Moves” will follow Beabadoobee's 2022 sophomore album, “Beatopia.” During a Big Read interview with the musician, she spoke about collaborating with The 1975's Matty Healy, saying he was “like an annoying older brother,” adding, “Matty's a great lyricist, so he really helped me in that sense, and he gave me a lot of advice on lyric writing.”

“And having him in my life as a musical mentor and a friend who gives me great life advice has really helped. I think he knows how to find writing that really resonates.”
