For those who weren't able to get tickets to Kendrick Lamar's Los Angeles concert, “The Pop Out — Ken and Friends,” Amazon Music has announced that its hip-hop and R&B brand, Rotation, will livestream the concert.
Tickets for the show, which takes place at the Kia Forum on June 19, sold out as soon as they went on sale to the general public today. Demand was so high that social media users reported being in line behind 100,000 others. Tickets are already being resold on Ticketmaster.com for anywhere from $350 to $1,500 a seat.
The concert will be broadcast live on Amazon Music channels on Prime Video and Twitch starting at 4pm PST. The livestream coincides with Amazon Music's “Forever the Influence” celebration of Black musicians and creators as part of Black Music Month.
Earlier this week, Lamar announced “The Pop Out — Ken and Friends,” presented by pgLang and Free Lunch, with the concert's title referencing a line from Lamar's diss track “Not Like Us” against Drake, the biggest hit in the feud that has made headlines in recent months.
The feud between Lamar and Drake has been getting more intense ever since Lamar contributed a verse to Metro Boomin and Future's “Like That” in March. Since then, they have attacked each other's personalities, looks and personas. Drake last released a diss track with “The Heart Pt. 6,” but recently removed the song from his Instagram profile.
