Sabrina Carpenter features boyfriend Barry Keoghan in new music video – Music News

Sabrina Carpenter stars alongside boyfriend Barry Keoghan in the music video for her new song “Please Please Please.”

The Espresso singer, who has been dating the Saltburn actor since late 2023, surprised fans by casting him as her love interest in the promotion of her latest song, which she co-wrote with Jack Antonoff and Aimee Allen.

The video sees Sabrina fall in love with a criminal who's in and out of prison, and witness him fight with a mob boss, rob a bank, brandish a gun, and hide someone in the trunk of his car.

The final scene sees Sabrina handcuff Barry to a chair, tape his mouth, kiss him, and then leave.

In the track, the “Nonsense” hitmaker begs her bad boyfriend not to prove her suspicions right, singing, “Please, please, please/Don't prove me right/Please, please, please/I've put on so much make-up and don't take me to the bar.”

Fans believe the song is about the Irish actor himself, due to the lyrics “I heard you're an actor, so act like a fine man/Whatever demons you've got inside of you, don't let them out tonight/They say it's just your culture and then they all cringe.”

Sharing the music video on Instagram, Sabrina wrote, “Please please release it now…starring the one and only @keoghan92 !!!!!!! @jackantonoff @amyallen I love you so much I can't believe our beloved diva is here.”

In the comments section, Barry simply wrote, “Gorgeous.”

The Oscar-nominated actor also posted the promo video on his page, adding, “Please, please, please…darling what are we saying?!! @sabrinacarpenter (sic)” Sabrina responded in the comments section with one of her lyrics: “I heard you're an actor!”

“Please Please Please” is taken from the pop star's sixth studio album, Short and Sweet, which will be released on August 23rd.
