BLACKPINK's Lisa teases new solo song

The artist's Instagram and TikTok both have it “coming soon,” and there are new pre-save links on streaming services.

A few months ago, BLACKPINK's Lisa signed a solo deal with RCA and is hoping to release new music soon. An Instagram story from her official account links to pre-save links on major streaming services and reads, “Coming Soon: Lisa.” There is also a link to the artist's official website. A TikTok also reads, “Coming Soon: Lisa,” and shows her dancing (with and without sunglasses) while syncopated analog synths bob and sway.

“I'm incredibly excited to join the RCA family and believe they're the perfect team to make a big move in my solo career,” Lisa said in April. “I can't wait to show the world everything we've got in store.” At the time, it was revealed that the deal would allow Lisa to retain ownership of her recordings.

The news comes three years after the release of Lisa's debut album, “Lalisa,” which was released by Blackpink's label YG through Interscope. She has continued to record and tour with Blackpink since then. But a few months ago, the group's four members each individually decided not to re-sign with YG, giving them more freedom to chart the direction of their solo careers and opening up new opportunities like Lisa's upcoming appearance on “The White Lotus” season 3.

In 2022, Lisa spoke to Rolling Stone about the nerves she felt when making her solo debut. “Usually when the four of us are together, for example, Chaeyoung… [Rosé] “She gives 100 percent,” she says, “and then we can feel it on stage, and subconsciously I feel that energy, like, 'Oh, I need to work harder.' We encourage each other like that. But when I'm alone, it's different. I can't get energy from anybody. It comes from me, and the fans are only looking at me. It's a big burden, but there's nothing I can do. It's my solo! I just practice a lot and watch myself.”
