Eiza Gonzalez defends Jennifer Lopez amid tour cancellation crisis – Music News

Eiza Gonzalez defended Jennifer Lopez after she announced she was cancelling her tour.

“I have to say that the level of bullying this woman has endured over the past few months is very disturbing and heartbreaking,” the Mexican actress and singer said in an Instagram Story.

“You can't complain about mean people and still enjoy being mean,” she added. “We are human beings, and some people have personal issues and still need to be perfect in the public eye all the time.”

The “3 Body Problem” star continued, “The world is a very complicated place. The best thing we can do right now is be kind. We don't know what people are going through.”

Gonzalez, who rose to stardom in 2010 with the teen sitcom “SueƱa conmigo,” defended the Jenny from the Block singer on the same day that Live Nation and a fan newsletter announced the cancellation of the “This Is Me… Live Tour.”

The cancellation of the tour, Jennifer Lopez's first in five years, comes amid poor ticket sales and rumors of turmoil in her marriage to actor Ben Affleck.

“Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” the statement said.

Since then, some fans have criticized Lopez for failing to replicate the success of Taylor Swift's Eraser tour.

Lopez and Affleck have yet to speak publicly about the current state of their marriage.
