June 1st: Extremely hot weather and warm nights are expected, with scattered thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty winds (30-40 kilometres per hour) in some places.

Delhi govt sets up war room to monitor water tankers
The Delhi government has set up a central war room in the Delhi Water Commission to monitor supply of water tankers as per the requirement in the national capital, Delhi Minister Atish said on Friday.

UP police perform CPR on monkey that lost consciousness due to heatwave
In Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, police officers found a 'dead' monkey that had fallen from a tree inside the police station premises. Meteorological department predicts rains in parts of Andhra Pradesh from May 30 to June 3
The India Meteorological Department on Thursday predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over parts of Andhra Pradesh for five days from May 30.
Rainfall accompanied by strong winds is expected over parts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP), Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP) and Rayalaseema.
The Meteorological Agency said winds of up to 40 kilometres per hour were expected.
