Close on their heels is Paul Weller, whose 17th studio album, 66, is poised to become his 23rd solo top 10 album(2). The former Jam and Style Council frontman has had six number one solo albums: 1995's Stanley Road, 2002's Illumination, 2008's 22 Dreams, 2012's Sonic Kicks, 2020's On Sunset and 2021's Phat Pop. Could he score a seventh number one this week?
Sheffield rockers Bring Me The Horizon are seeking their fifth top 10 album with POST HUMAN: NeX Gen (No. 5). The band, comprised of Olivier Sykes, Matt Nicholls, Lee Mallia and Matt Keane, have previously had top 10 hits with 2013's Sempiternal (No. 3), 2015's That's The Spirit (No. 2), 2019's record amo (No. 1) and 2020's POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR (No. 1).
Meanwhile, American alternative rock band Wallows, comprised of Dylan Minnette, Braden LeMasters and Cole Preston, are gunning for a career-best result, with their third studio album, Models, predicted to debut at number 10.
Manchester rapper Meeks (real name Miko Howles) could equal his highest ever ranking on the Official Albums Chart with his third full-length album, “TRU” (No. 12), while BTS star RM is expected to score his first solo top 20 album with “Right Place, Wrong Person” (No. 17).
Buckinghamshire-born breakout artist Nico B, real name Tom George Austin, could score his first chart appearance with his debut album, Dog Eat Dog Food World (20), while Lenny Kravitz is aiming for his eighth Top 40 album with Blue Electric Light (27).
Girls Aloud's 2012 hits compilation 'Ten' continues to climb midweek (#31) as the Girls Aloud Show tour continues across the UK, while Take That's former chart-topper 'This Life' continues to rise following the release of its deluxe edition, jumping 144 places into the Top 40 midweek (#37).
Finally, Chapel Lawn’s 2023 debut, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, is on track to enter the UK Top 40 for the first time (38).
